Dr. Sotomayor is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and received his M.D. from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. He completed his radiology residency at UCLA and was the Chief Resident at UCLA from July 2000 to June 2001. He also completed post-graduate fellowship training in Cardiovascular/Interventional Radiology at UCLA.

He has extensive experience with MRI, CT and Ultrasound in both the hospital and outpatient settings. Dr. Sotomayor believes in working closely with referring physicians to answer any of their questions and to deliver the results of patient imaging studies to the referring physicians as quickly as possible.
